What makes Woodhaven Venue so unique?

A New Year Re-Introduction for our new friends!

Happy 2026, everyone! What an amazing year of growth and blessing 2025 was for us! We have had so many new visitors to both our venue and website that we thought taking a quick moment to re-introduce ourselves might be appropriate!

We are Jon and Christine. We became venue owners through the "back door" of opportunity! First we fell in love with the area, then we found our second home at a cabin in this very log cabin community. Then, we landed on the property that would later become Woodhaven Venue. After much prayer, kitchen-table brainstorms, seeking advice from wiser people in the industry, and finally getting an architect involved, we began construction in 2023. With many stops and starts, we completed the process late last year and have enjoyed hosting our first weddings this past year!

To get you fully up to speed, here are some "things you may not know" about our beautiful venue and it's surrounding property:

1. Woodhaven Venue was once a golf course! This property has been thoughtfully transformed into a breathtaking wedding destination while retaining the big, open skies, rolling meadows, and stunning views that set the stage for the best weddings.

   
   
   
   

Our 140-foot covered porch, originally designed for the driving range, now offers a stunning, weather-protected space perfect for cocktail hours, receptions, a rain plan for your ceremony, or a relaxing spot for guests to enjoy one another and the view from a cozy rocker.

The naturally level clearings, which were once tee boxes, have become ceremony sites and picturesque photo locations. Everywhere you turn, you'll find lush grass, golden light, and views that create a natural beautiful backdrop.

2. One of Tennessee's most breathtaking natural treasures - the iconic waterfall at Fall Creek Falls State Park - one of the most visited and awe-inspiring waterfalls in the region is located just minutes from Woodhaven Venue!

This landmark offers the perfect addition to wedding weekends, giving couples and their guests something truly special to explore beyond the celebration. Friends and families can enjoy a casual early morning hike or gather a group for a hike upon arrival on Friday. For those who are not hikers, a scenic drive through the park with a quick stop at the Overlook to take a few photos of the waterfalls or a visit to the Nature Center will make it a special excursion.

The park features a wide range of activities for every guest, including guided hikes, golfing, paddleboat and canoe rentals, a ropes course, swimming pool. horseback riding, and a nature center. Even a simple drive through the park's winding roads and sweeping views becomes a memorable experience.

3. Woodhaven Venue is located in a gated log community, giving guests a convenient and comfortable place to stay just steps from the venue. Each log cabin is privately owned and unique, but all are within walking distance or a short golf-cart drive from the venue, making it easy for everyone to come and go throughout the weekend - including those quick trips back to the cabin for a forgotten item.

The cabins offer a comfortable stay with full kitchens, separate bedrooms and bathrooms, and front porches with rocking chairs. This setup allows guests to enjoy privacy while still feeling connected to the group and relaxed for the weekend.

Many couples and guests appreciate having lodging nearby rather than staying in hotels, which can be expensive and exhausting - especially when eating out for every meal. Staying together in the cabin community creates a shared experience, where neighbors are all there for the same reason: celebrating your wedding and spending meaningful time together.
